Enrichment for Maryland schools and school systems

Reading and math enrichment that works alongside the curriculum you already teach.

Your core reading and math programs are already chosen. Damani Digital Learning adds the enrichment around them: interactive YOU-TURN stories that get reluctant readers turning pages, math enrichment units that stretch students who are ready for more, and test prep for the grades that need it. Everything is written by a Baltimore-area educator with 30 years as a teacher, Math Coach and administrator, and every lesson lists its Maryland College and Career Ready Standards code.

For schools, school systems & after-school programs

Enrichment, not another core program.

Replacing a district's reading or math adoption is a multi-year, million-dollar decision. Enrichment is not. These programs fit into time you already have, such as intervention and enrichment blocks, WIN time, clubs, after-school and summer, and they sit beside whatever core curriculum your teachers use.

Why schools choose enrichment from a classroom educator

  • No adoption cycle. A school or a single grade level can start this month.
  • Works with your core program. Nothing to replace and no new platform for teachers to learn.
  • Standards on every page. Maryland College and Career Ready Standards codes, ready for lesson plans and observations.
  • Built for reluctant readers. Students choose the story, so they have a reason to keep reading.
  • Priced for a school budget. Per-school licenses, with purchase orders and invoices accepted.

This is not a normal book. The reader is the main character. After a few pages they make a choice and turn to the page it names, so every reader builds a different story. Two students can open the same book and finish with completely different endings.

  • Book 1: The Secret of the Lighthouse Key (Grades 3–4). A mystery on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, 8 endings.
  • Book 2: Mission to Station Unity (Grades 5–6). Science and teamwork on a moon base, 11 endings.

How the Quick-Find Index saves ministers time

The call comes in, and the Scripture is already on the page.

A funeral is set for Saturday. A member is in the hospital tonight. Mother's Day is this Sunday. You know there's a verse that fits, but finding it is hard and slow: which book is it in, and is it even in the Old Testament or the New? Without a reference, you're searching a concordance, scrolling an app, and checking verses one by one. With the Quick-Find Index, you open to the topic and the passages from both Testaments are already gathered for you.

Without the index
  • Try to remember whether the verse is in the Old or New Testament, and which book
  • Search a concordance or app for the right theme
  • Look up each verse to see if it fits the moment
  • Copy the text by hand or from several sources
  • Work out an order for the Old and New Testament readings
  • Start the sermon outline from a blank page
With the index
  • Turn to the topic: homegoing, wedding, hospital visit, Advent and more
  • Old Testament and New Testament passages are listed separately, with book, chapter and verse, so you never have to guess where to look
  • Read a one-line note on when each passage fits best
  • The full King James text is printed right there, ready to read aloud
  • A suggested order of readings is already laid out
  • Sermon seeds and prayer starters give you a first step
  • Easy to bring along to the hospital, the graveside or the family's living room.
  • Ready for the whole ministry team. Associate ministers, deacons and chaplains can step in with the right passage when the pastor isn't there.
  • Planned around the church calendar, so special Sundays and seasons don't sneak up on you.

  • Essay and performance test frameworks with sample answers
  • A week-by-week study plan with time management and test-anxiety strategies
  • Notes on the current exam and the new NextGen bar exam now rolling out by state

Child care centers & preschools

A complete month of lessons, with the alignment already done.

Programs seeking Maryland EXCELS Level 5 or Maryland Accreditation must use a curriculum aligned to the Maryland Early Learning Standards. Each month includes an alignment chart you can file with your EXCELS documentation, so your director isn't building one by hand.

  • 4 weekly themes with daily lesson cards for ages 3–5
  • Early math, literacy, science, and social-emotional activities
  • Materials lists using supplies most centers already have
  • A weekly parent letter you can print or send home digitally
  • An alignment chart mapping every activity to an Early Learning Standards domain

Assisted living, memory care & adult day

Activities your aides can lead on day one.

Maryland asks every Alzheimer's special care unit to describe its activities, how often they run, and how they meet the needs of residents with dementia. The Sharp & Social program gives you that plan every month: large-print sessions sorted by ability level, each with a one-page script for any staff member or volunteer.

  • About 20 large-print sessions per month in three ability levels
  • A one-page script with each activity: what to say, how to adapt, when to stop
  • A printable activity calendar for your board
  • A monthly summary of activity types and frequency for your records

These are activities for engagement and enjoyment, not a medical treatment.

Finish the Saying 15–20 min · Small group
  1. Hand out the large-print page and read the first saying aloud."An apple a day... how does that one end?"
  2. Wait at least 10 seconds before offering help.
  3. For more support, give the first word or two choices."Keeps the... doctor away, or the dentist away?"
  4. Ask a follow-up to start a story."Who used to say that in your family?"
  5. Stop or switch if anyone seems tired or frustrated.

30years in Maryland
education

About the founder

Damani, educator and curriculum writer

I've spent 30 years in Maryland education as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. I taught grades 2 through 8 in Baltimore City and Baltimore County Public Schools, most of that time in mathematics. As a Math Coach, Grade-Level Chair, and Acting Administrator, I coached teachers, led data-driven planning, and mentored new staff. As a Compliance Specialist with Edison Schools, I supported program quality across schools.

I've also seen education from the student's side in very different settings: I attended both public schools and Gilman School, one of Baltimore's leading independent schools. That range, from city classrooms to county schools to private school, shapes materials that work for any program. I also grew up in an educator's home: my mother is a retired staff developer and school principal with 40 years in education.

Damani Digital Learning puts that experience into materials busy staff can use the same day: clear plans, real alignment, and scripts that work whether the person leading is a lead teacher or a new aide.

Questions from principals and directors

Before you buy

Don't see your question? Ask it in the sample request and you'll get an answer within two business days.

Will this replace our reading or math program?

No. These are enrichment materials designed to sit beside your core curriculum, in enrichment blocks, rotations, clubs, after-school and summer. Teachers keep the program they already use.

How does a school pilot work?

Choose one grade level. You get six weeks of enrichment materials and a short check-in with the teachers. If the school continues, you choose a per-school license and can pay by purchase order.

Is this curriculum approved for Maryland EXCELS?

The curriculum is aligned to the Maryland Early Learning Standards, and each month includes an alignment chart for your records. MSDE decides whether a program's curriculum meets EXCELS criteria, so include the chart with your documentation.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Yes. Request an invoice and include your PO number. Yearly plans can be invoiced once per year.

Can we make copies for our whole staff?

Yes. A license covers everyone at one location. Each additional location needs its own license, with 15% off at three or more sites.

What if our residents or children have different ability levels?

Senior sessions come in three levels, and child care lessons include a simpler and a challenge version of each activity.

Can we cancel?

Monthly plans can stop at any time before the next month is delivered. Yearly plans renew only when you say so.

Free pilot or sample month

Try it with your teachers or staff.

Schools can pilot one grade level free for six weeks; other programs get a free sample month. Fill this in, then copy your request into an email. You'll get the sample within two business days.
